Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Welcome to Vauxhall!

The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens Fire Festival returns on 31st October 2015 at 6:30 pm.  Last year’s festival was Time Out’s number one thing to do on Halloween and was attended by 5000 revellers on the Historic Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens.

As you exit the world of men, stay on the path, for you do not know what horrors lurk in the night.  You will emerge in Asgaard, the home of the Norse Gods.  A world of fire, light, celebration, beauty and music, an eternal Pleasure Garden.

This year’s incredible show is in three parts. We open with The Legend of the Trickster God Loki and the Dark Elves a new piece of theatre telling how Thor got his hammer.  Our wonderful in house dance company tell this tale with style, grace and some of the punchiest, tightest, most extravagant dance moves you have ever seen.  The whole show takes place in front of the famous Vauxhall Bonfire.

The second act is the Fire Festival Spectacular, Fire performers, set piece dance routines, a fire magic show, the beautiful strains of Elgar’s Cello Concerto and fireworks combine in a Fiery cabaret that will blow your mind.

With the explosions still ringing in your ears, and having purchased suitable refreshments from the various food stalls who will be selling their wares and hearty ale or mulled wine from the Thor’s Hammer pub, the Bohemianauts band will play us into the late evening with their fantastic brand of Gypsy Swing as the bonfire burns behind.

Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens Fire Festival 2015

It is that time of year again folks.  The nights are starting to draw in and it is time to think about the Fire Festival.  This year’s main show on the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens on Saturday 31st October 2015 will be “The Legend of the Trickster God Loki and the Dark Elves”. The story of how Thor got his hammer.  A combined arts spectacular featuring dancers, fire performers, poets, musicians and pyrotechnics told in front of the famous Vauxhall Bonfire.

For the rest of October we are programming a season of fire festival related shows at Tea House Theatre.  Starting with “Immaculate” on 9th-11th October.  We are forming company to populate this festival with fantastic work.  If you want to get involved or are a company with a show that would fit our theme please get in touch and help us make the magic happen.
