Fire Festival 2016 Cancellation Statement
We are deeply saddened to announce that the Fire Festival Vauxhall will no longer be taking place this year. We have been ever so lucky with our funding over the last 3 years. Unfortunately, choices have to be made by Arts Council England and we were unlucky this time.
We are terribly sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this might cause.
Looking to the future, we would like to put together the ‘Friends of the Vauxhall Trust CIC’ who would be able to help us build a fund for our festivals, so we can plan more strategically and hopefully avoid having to cancel any more in our 10 year plan. If you would like to be involved, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are very much looking forward to the St George’s Festival, which will be taking place on 22nd and 23rd April next year.
The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens Fire Festival 2016
Hi, we now have a video! We hope you enjoy it, more will follow, but here are some of the best bits. We are linking some wonderful audience videos on our YouTube page too so have a look there for more.
The Music of Orpheus and the Jealousy of the Gods
Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, Welcome to Vauxhall!
The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens Fire Festival returns on 29th October 2016 at 7pm.
Following the success of 2015’s adventure in the world of Norse myth 2016 takes us to the stories of Ancient Greece.
This year’s show is titled The Music of Orpheus and the Jealousy of the Gods. Music, dancers, fire performers, poets and fireworks combine to tell a story of ancient Greece. Orpheus who’s music and art have great power. Hades, lord of the Underworld and his beautiful wife Persephone. The Furies, Cerberus and the love of Orpheus life collide in a spectacular tale of romance, magic and jealousy.
The second half of the evening will be a mind-blowing Fire Cabaret. All this takes place in front of the famous Vauxhall Bonfire. There will be food and drink aplenty so whether you celebrate Halloween, All Hallows, Samhain or the Day of the Dead, join us in Vauxhall for the greatest show on Earth.
Time Out London’s number one thing to do on Halloween of 2014 and 2015. Now with 20% more Fireworks courtesy of sponsorship from Mount Anvil and their Keybridge development.
This event is free and all are welcome.
